Upcoming Mental Health Events & Programs in Vancouver

There are a number of great mental health events and programs coming up in Vancouver and around BC.

We wanted to spend some time highlighting them for you.

Whatever you’re interested in, make sure to talk to the organizers if you are interested in getting involved. Most groups are more than willing to plug you in to their own, or other’s opportunities.

Here are just some upcoming mental health events and programs…

1) Kinect Program

Awareness On Wheels

Fall – Winter, 2017

My friend Isaac has just kicked off a wild ride to raise money and awareness for mental health, which will see him motorbike from Tofino, BC to the Southern tip of Argentina.

I met Isaac during a retreat on the Sunshine Coast last Summer. He was working there and one night as we had a beat-boxing circle going, he blasted into the room and dropped some serious bars, stunning everyone with his flow.

He’s someone you’d never expect would have dealt with depression, but it speaks to the importance of raising awareness and of the journey he’s just kicked off, motorbiking from Tofino, Canada,

Isaac is raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, where he is from. Link with more info and to donate: Awareness On Wheels Website

Follow the journey on Isaac’s Facebook Page here: Awareness on Wheels Facebook Page

That’s all for now. Check back again in a couple of months for another update on BC’s Mental Health Scene and let’s us know if we’ve missed anything by leaving a comment or contacting us here.
